WHAT CAUSES FEVER IN CHILDREN?
It’s very important to immediately treat fever in children, to avoid unnecessary complications. Some of the common causes of fever include flu, respiratory tract and ear infections, roseola fever, tonsillitis and chickenpox.44
WHY BRUFEN® FOR FEVER IN CHILDREN?
Brufen’s easy to take syrup is effective in relieving fever and is well tolerated. It has shown to have greater efficacy on reducing fever in children at 2, 4 and 6 hours post treatment compared to paracetamol.45
WHEN TO GO TO A DOCTOR?
Though medication is effective, it’s best to see a doctor if your 0-3 months baby has fever with temperature 38 degrees or more and if your child is between 3-6 months with body temperature of 39 degrees and above.44
WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED DOSE OF BRUFEN®?11
Let us understand the recommended dose of Brufen® as per your child's age and weight. The daily dosage for Brufen® is 20mg/kg of bodyweight in divided doses. This can be achieved as follows:
